Effective October 9, 2026. Paul Kim operates Paul Keyword Research. Contact: pkim481@gmail.com. This policy covers the research application and its informational pages, rather than the wider Kim Family Archive.
Current status
The Google Ads API connection is being set up and is not yet active. This application has not begun retrieving Google Ads account data through that connection. These pages do not offer public accounts or a public keyword research service. The sections below describe the intended initial operation and the handling rules that must be implemented before API research begins.
Research information and purpose
The tool is intended for Paul Kim’s own business-opportunity research. It will send owner-selected keywords, optional website URLs, language, and geographic targets to Google Ads, using an authorized account identifier and Google-issued authentication credentials. It will receive keyword suggestions and aggregate historical metrics, including estimated search volumes, advertiser competition, and bid ranges. Account identifiers and credentials are separate from the aggregate research results.
These inputs and results will be used to compare search demand and potential advertising opportunities. The tool’s functions are limited to keyword research; it will not create, change, enable, or fund advertising campaigns. This application limit does not mean that Google’s authorization scope itself is read-only.
Planned storage and access
The initial tool is planned to run on Paul’s own desktop computer. Credentials and account configuration will be kept in an access-restricted local configuration, separate from exported research and the public website. They must not be included in reports, source-code repositories, public pages, or uploads to an analysis service. The public WordPress pages will not host the API connection or its credentials.
Research inputs and results may be saved as local files or spreadsheets selected by Paul. Paul will control access to those files. The application will not automatically upload exports to a cloud storage or analysis service. Any device backup or file synchronization selected by Paul may create additional copies under that service’s settings.
Service providers and sharing
Google will process authentication and research requests to provide the API results. Paul may choose to upload selected keyword inputs and aggregate research metrics to ChatGPT for analysis; such uploads must exclude credentials and account identifiers. Before any transfer, Paul will confirm that it is permitted by applicable Google API data-use requirements and the analysis service’s data controls, including restrictions on model-training use. Copies sent to ChatGPT will be handled under its applicable privacy and retention settings. No such upload is automatic. The application will not sell Google account data or use it to target advertisements.
These informational pages are hosted on WordPress.com. Automattic may process visitor IP addresses, browser information, access times, cookies, and other technical information for hosting and related services, as explained in its Privacy Notice for Visitors to Our Users’ Sites. These website records are separate from the desktop research files.
Retention, deletion, and revocation
Local research files will remain until Paul deletes them or no longer needs them for the research. Credentials will be retained only while the connection is needed and must be removed when the integration is discontinued. To stop future access, Paul can revoke the Google authorization or remove the application’s account access, as appropriate to the configured authentication method.
Revoking access does not delete previously saved research. Local exports must be deleted separately, including from the recycle bin when applicable. Copies in backups, synchronized storage, or ChatGPT must be managed through those services’ deletion and retention controls.
If you email a question, Paul receives your email address and message and uses them to respond. Correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the inquiry. Privacy or deletion requests can be sent to pkim481@gmail.com.
Updates
Before the API connection is activated, its implementation will be checked against these handling rules and this policy will be updated if the design changes. The effective date above will be revised when the policy changes.
